He selects a vehicle from the already populated drop down list of cars and inspects the vehicle with a preprogrammed “Damage and Severity Code”. Drivers are also given the facility for printing gate passes at the auctions with damages.
Once the consignment reaches the destination, the driver unloads the cars and obtains a signature (Signature Capture) and POD information confirming that the delivery is complete. After confirmation, he then uploads the data in to his hand held device and sends it to the company’s information server wirelessly. The server then downloads the data, dispatches it automatically and closes the load and dispatch. The invoice for the customer is then prepared depending on the billing criteria followed by the company.
